Causeway Bay is one of Hong Kong’s most famous neighborhoods, known for its bustling shopping streets, luxury malls, and energetic vibe. Often referred to as a shopper’s paradise, this area offers a mix of high-end brands, quirky local shops, and everything in between. With so much to explore, it’s no wonder Causeway Bay remains a favorite destination for both tourists and locals alike.

Next time I visit, I’d love to spend more time exploring the shopping in this area. 🥢 Dim Sum Square: A Quick Stop for Classic Hong Kong Dim Sum

On our way through Hong Kong, we also made a quick stop at Dim Sum Square. Known for its affordable dim sum offerings, this spot was a decent choice, but it didn’t quite meet our expectations. However, it’s still worth a visit if you’re looking for a quick, traditional dim sum experience.

🍜 Din Tai Fung: Our Go-To Spot for Dumplings

Whenever we see a Din Tai Fung, we just can’t resist, and for good reason. This global chain has earned its reputation for consistently delivering delicious Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) and other iconic dishes at every location worldwide.

What is Xiaolongbao?

  • Xiaolongbao, or soup dumplings, are a type of steamed dumpling filled with savory broth and pork. When you bite into one, the flavorful soup inside bursts out, offering a satisfying experience. It’s a must-try dish for anyone visiting Din Tai Fung, and no matter where in the world you try them, they never disappoint.

Top Dishes to Try at Din Tai Fung:

  • Xiaolongbao (Soup Dumplings): The star of the menu, these delicate dumplings are filled with rich broth and pork.
  • Shrimp & Kurobuta Pork Shao Mai: This classic Shanghainese dish features a thicker, chewy skin filled with tender Kurobuta pork and topped with a juicy shrimp. Each bite is rich in flavor, offering a perfect combination of textures.
  • Seaweed & Beancurd Salad: A refreshing summertime favorite. This salad combines crisp bean sprouts, smooth glass noodles, and springy beancurd, all tossed with thin strips of seaweed in a traditional vinegar dressing. A light touch of Din Tai Fung’s signature chili oil gives it layers of flavor and texture—perfect as a light appetizer

⭐Din Tai Fung 4/5

The food is always consistently delicious, and we know exactly what to expect each time we visit. It’s the perfect spot to stop by if you’re craving Xiaolongbao or want a reliable meal while exploring Causeway Bay.
